About Plain State

I've never had a blog before, and I'm pretty terrible at writing but I wanted a platform to scream into the void about various coffee-related experiences I have.

I'm a self-described amateur coffee lover (and wife-described live-in barista). I love simple coffee drinks and mostly drink iced americanos, but I appreciate all kinds of coffee.

My wife and I make it a habit to try to visit a new coffee shop in the KC metro every weekend, and I really just want somewhere to be able to talk about some awesome local businesses. We've been to some amazing shops that don't get the credit they deserve.
